Joining together to fight hunger in our community!
The 10th annual Empty Bowls fundraising event was held Friday, May 3, 2019 at Warwick Valley High School. The Warwick Valley School District and community members JOINED TOGETHER for this ice cream social and family fun fundraising effort to fight hunger in our community! The event included:
- An evening of ice cream, non-dairy alternatives and desserts with an amazing toppings bar
- Kids’ activities and clay projects
- Beautiful pottery bowls for sale
- 50/50
- Basket Raffle
- Performances by Student Musicians
Thank you to the Altice Charity Champions program that awarded WV Empty Bowls a contribution of $1,000 and $250 to the WVHS Empty Bowls Club. Altice Charity Champions program recognizes area high school community service efforts.
The over $5,000 raised went to the Backpack Snack Attack program, Warwick Community Kitchen and the Florida Community, Greenwood Lake , Warwick Ecumenical and St. Peter Lutheran Church Food Pantries.
